July is here—named after Julius Caesar, this month is typically the warmest, bringing summer fun and fireworks. To our Canadian Night Owls, happy Canada Day! For the rest of us, the Fourth of July needs no introduction. Let’s also remember that July marks the anniversary of the moon landing—a powerful reminder to dream big and reach for the stars. Now, let’s take a look at what this month has in store:

• USA Independence Day (July 4)—Fireworks, freedom, and family time. We hope you had a fun, safe holiday weekend.
• National Workaholics Day (July 5)—A lighthearted reminder to take a break. (There's still time.)
• National Hot Dog Day (July 16)—As if we needed an excuse. National Ice Cream Day is July 20 for those with a sweet tooth.
• National Parents Day (July 17)—Shout-out to all the parents! Many Night Owls earned their degree while raising a family.
• National Friendship Day (July 30)—A great time to connect with friends, mentors, and fellow grads.

WGU is heading to the Pacific Northwest to celebrate the accomplishments of 2,072 incredible grads at the upcoming Seattle Commencement on July 19. This diverse class includes grads from 42 states and territories, ranging in age from 18 to 70, with more than half earning master’s degrees. A remarkable 54% hail from Washington state, and one grad traveled over 5,600 miles from Guam to walk the stage.
