Stay Connected as Alumni in 2025!

In 2024, we launched several exciting new platforms to enhance your alumni experience, and we have even more in store for 2025! From networking opportunities to career development tools, these platforms will help you stay engaged and connected with the WGU community.

To access everything, ensure you can still log in with your student credentials. Not sure if your log-in is working? Test it by logging into your WGU Student Portal.

As an example, platforms like Handshake, where you can join Career Quest, require your student credentials to access events and opportunities. Make sure your log-in is ready to go so you can take full advantage of all the exciting tools and resources we have for you in 2025!

January Is National Mentoring Month!

At WGU, we know the transformative power of mentorship, and we’re proud to celebrate National Mentoring Month this January. Recently, our Regional Vice President, Kim Estep, was featured on a local news channel discussing WGU’s commitment to mentoring and the impact it has on student success. Reflect for a moment—what was having a mentor like for you? Now, imagine the impact you could have on someone else’s journey. WGU alumni have the opportunity to give back by becoming mentors, guiding others with the wisdom and experience they’ve gained.

We also want to thank our incredible graduates for embracing mentorship through the Ask a Grad platform. So far, hundreds of questions have been answered by WGU alumni, demonstrating the true spirit of support and community among Night Owls. When you take the time to respond to these questions, you’re acting as a mentor and making a meaningful difference in someone’s life. Here’s what one user, Ron, had to say about Ask a Grad:

You can make a difference by contributing to the WGU Student Emergency Aid Fund, which helps students facing financial hardships due to natural disasters and other unforeseen events.
