WGU and the KFC Foundation
In the June edition of the alumni newsletter, we highlighted the partnership between WGU and KFC, allowing KFC restaurant employees to have 100% of their tuition covered while pursuing a degree. In this edition, we would like to extend our congratulations to Kevon Pascoe, who recently graduated and participated in the WGU Las Vegas Commencement.

Girls working on their computers
As a WGU alum, you maintain access to your student portal long after graduation. This portal serves as a valuable resource for information and also where you can start applying for your next degree program. This login also grants you continued access to your alumni resources.

The WGU Security Team has recently implemented enhanced security measures to safeguard student accounts.

If you've encountered difficulties logging into the portal, we recommend starting with a password reset or username recovery. During this process, you'll be prompted to answer the security questions you initially set as a student.

If you cannot reset this information, we encourage you to reach out to our Service Desk for assistance. You can contact them via phone or text at 385-428-3102. Please be prepared to respond to additional security questions, which may include details like your Program Mentor's name or your final course as a student, as the Service Desk will need to verify your identity to ensure the security of your account.

Melissa Stockwell
The Power of Choice: My Journey from Wounded Warrior to World Champion

Thursday, November 16
11:00 a.m. (MST)

Join us for a conversation with Melissa Stockwell on perseverance and finding ability in disability. She was the first female American to lose a limb in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Her vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb on April 13, 2004, resulting in the loss of her left leg, above the knee.

Melissa was honored with a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for her service. Later she represented the USA as a member of the U.S. Paralympic Swim Team where she was the first Iraq War veteran to qualify for the Paralympic Games.

Away from the field of play, Melissa cofounded the nonprofit organization Dare2tri, which serves youth and adults with physical disabilities along with injured service members. Register here.

Nurse Walking
Did you know WGU's four colleges didn't all start at once? The Business and IT Colleges were first, followed by the School of Education, and then finally the Leavitt School of Health came seven years later. Despite this delay, the Leavitt School of Health has the most WGU graduates, with over 110,000 alumni!

Happy Thanksgiving
At WGU, we have a lot to be thankful for. With over 25 years since our founding, our list of reasons for gratitude continues to expand. We appreciate our hardworking faculty and staff and everyone who has helped Western Governors University over the many years.

We want to extend a special thank you to our current students and a heartfelt appreciation to all our WGU graduates. As we approach 350,000 alumni, we recognize that we could not exist without the incredible group of former students who chose to earn their degrees at WGU. Thank YOU!
